A beloved monk was lying on his deathbed, going through the transition. The Dalai Lama sat by his bedside and chanted this chant for hours and hours until the monk passed over. Afterwards, those who were present begged the Dalai Lama to record the beautiful chant so that it might be shared with the world, and this CD is the result.

Sri Mrutyunjaya Mantra is used for healing of physical, mental and spiritual illnesses. If chanted or listened to regularly, this mantra will strengthen the aura and prevent latent diseases from manifesting.
Mahamrutyunjaya mantra is the mantra that is to be chanted to be deathless. That does not mean that those who chant the Mahamrutyunjaya mantra will never die. Mrutyunjaya mantra will help you to know that your consciousness or your spirit is deathless. It is not insurance for your body to be eternal! The Mrutyunjaya mantra helps you to know the Divinity within. It also ensures that there is no untimely death. It is chanted to know eternity, not to remain deathless.
